Gold Standard Electric is a family-run, veteran-owned electrical company serving San Diego County. Explore Digital partnered with the company on a Google Ads campaign focused on generating leads for EV charger installation.
Rather than sending paid traffic to the broader website, the campaign needed a dedicated experience built around the specific service and intent behind the ads.
The Challenge
Designing for high-intent traffic
Visitors arriving from the campaign were already looking for EV charger installation. The experience needed to quickly communicate the service, establish credibility, and make the next step clear.
Creating a focused experience within an existing brand
The landing page needed to feel like a natural extension of Gold Standard Electric's existing digital presence while being more purpose-built for the campaign and its conversion goal.

My Role
Designed the dedicated EV charger installation landing page.
Translated the paid media strategist's campaign outline into the page experience.
Developed and refined content using AI as part of the content development process.
Extended the existing Gold Standard Electric visual language.
Updated the lead form to capture EV charger installation inquiries.
Worked through design and refinement with the team to prepare the page for launch.
Key Decisions
01. Focus the experience around one clear goal
The landing page needed to keep visitors focused on EV charger installation rather than navigating the broader website. The content and hierarchy needed to support a straightforward path to inquiry.
02. Establish confidence quickly
Visitors needed enough information to understand the service and feel comfortable reaching out. Key information and credibility cues needed to appear early in the experience.
03. Keep the inquiry process simple
The final step needed to feel easy and approachable. The form and surrounding content needed to give visitors enough context without introducing unnecessary friction.
Design Solutions
A dedicated campaign experience
I designed a standalone landing page specifically for EV charger installation, giving paid traffic a more focused destination than the broader website.
An extension of the existing brand
I built on the visual direction I had previously established for Gold Standard Electric, carrying its existing typography, visual language, and hierarchy into the campaign experience.
A streamlined lead flow
I structured the content and lead form around the campaign's audience and intent, creating a clear progression from understanding the service to submitting an inquiry.

Impact
A campaign experience that generated leads
Within the first four days, the campaign generated 6 leads, achieving a 21% conversion rate with $200 in ad spend.
With EV charger installations starting at $575, those six leads represented $3,450 in potential starting revenue if each ultimately converted at the advertised starting price.
