TranscribeMe was a transcription company offering both AI-generated and human transcription services. As the market became increasingly competitive just before the AI boom, its digital presence was beginning to feel dated and its user journeys had become difficult to navigate.
I led a comprehensive redesign spanning the marketing website, purchasing experience, and member dashboard. The goal was to create a modern, scalable system that could serve individual customers, businesses, and freelance transcriptionists.
Work Details
Multiple Audiences, One Experience
The biggest challenge was balancing the needs of three distinct audiences. Individual customers needed a simple path from upload to purchase, while larger organizations needed tools to manage high volumes of media and ongoing transcription projects.
The experience needed to accommodate these different levels of complexity without feeling fragmented.
A Modern, Scalable System
TranscribeMe's existing digital experience was dated and lacked the flexibility needed to support its growing range of services and audiences. The visual language also made it difficult to clearly communicate the distinction between its AI and human transcription offerings.
The redesign presented an opportunity to establish a more contemporary visual direction and a scalable foundation that could better support the evolving product.

Design Solution
I led the overall design direction while remaining hands-on across UX strategy, user flows, UI, product design, and visual design. I also directed supporting designers and reviewed their work to maintain a cohesive experience throughout the project.
We introduced a brighter visual identity, updated imagery, and a more contemporary UI, supported by reusable patterns and components across the website and product.
The final solution connected the marketing site, purchasing flow, and member dashboard through a unified design system, while giving each audience a clearer path through the platform.
The redesigned front end launched with positive client feedback, establishing a more modern and flexible foundation for TranscribeMe as it entered an increasingly AI-driven market.
